I saw someone else do a cute interview with their character and all of a sudden wanted to do something similar so I went on the search for one... SO I looked up couple interviews and stole this from someone on here. :D
This interview takes place when Ira and Noelle are a couple and have been so for a little while, so it's about two years after the story starts. The story starts when they're 16 years old. I took out a huge chunk of questions at the end lol.
1. Who is the couple we'll be interviewing?
Ira and Noelle!
2. How old are you two?
Ira: 18.
Noelle: The same! But I'll be 19 pretty soon.
3. How did you two meet?
Noelle: Oh god, well. I mean, we technically kind of first met in class vaguely- but we really MET when we became figure skating partners.
Ira: Yeah, it was kind of funny how that happened because seeing you at school, I never thought I'd be friends with you-
Noelle: So rude.
Ira: [laughs] Well, I mean, you know, you felt the same way about me! We were in different social circles, outwardly didn't seem to have anything in common. But the opposite turned out to be true.
4. Okay, how did you two hook up?
Ira: We became best friends before any of it happened, really... I mean, trusting a person with your life out there on the ice, and sharing the same drive and passion can really bond two people. Not to mention we have so much fun together, so-
Noelle: BASICALLY I had to make the first official move because Ira's a lil chicken.
Ira: Wh- hey!
Noelle: I asked him over for this fancy dinner with my parents-
Ira: Everything is fancy with your parents, you guys practically live in a castle-
Noelle: [nudges him] Shh. Talking. Anyway, I invited him over and after we went into the lower level where we kind of have this theater room and watched Miracle on 34th Street because it was near Christmas and it's my FAVORITE and Ira hadn't even seen it before which was insane-
Ira: Jewish mother, Indian father, remember?
Noelle: [elbows him in the ribs] So I think that was kind of the catalyst to the start of our relationship because of the way we- well I mean. The way I was feeling anyway... [tugs on a stray curl, absently playing with hair] It was basically our first date.
Ira: Wait. That was our first date?
Noelle: Oh my god.
Ira: I mean I didn't know if it counted...
Noelle: IT WAS DINNER AND A MOVIE, IRA.
5. When was your first kiss? who started it?
Noelle: [laughing] Oh god.
Ira: [face turning pink] Hahh yeah- well. It was kind of weird- I mean, good weird! Good. Very good. But-
Noelle: I was drunk.
Ira: Yeah.
Noelle: So keep in mind this was before our first "date"- we weren't in a relationship or anything... We were at this party that I dragged him along to- I used to go to a lot of that kind of shit when we were in high school so I could keep up my socializing status... It was kind of dumb in retrospect because I didn't enjoy over-socializing that much, I just liked to feel liked and fun. Anyway. So I drag him to this thing. And he decides to stay sober, while I actually get drunk- which I didn't do often, but I think there was a lot of confusing emotional stuff going on at that time and I was like FUCK IT.
Ira: Basically, when I drove her home after that party, we stayed out in her front porch talking-
Noelle: I think the cold air sobered me up some-
Ira: Yeah, but not enough, because eventually-
Noelle: I planted one on him.
Ira: [snorts] It sounds so weird but yeah, pretty much.
Noelle: [smiling and shaking her head] There's more we could go into about this, but now's not the time.
6. Who is the taller one?
Ira: ME, THANK YOU. YES. I AM ONE INCH TALLER.
Noelle: He's really proud of this fact. I wear heels all the time to spite him.
Ira: ............
Noelle: It's okay, he secretly likes being called Shortstack.
7. Right... Who has the meaner temper?
Ira: [points at Noelle]
Noelle: [shrugs] I'm not gonna deny it.
8.Do either of you drink and/or smoke?
Noelle: Neither of us smoke- and we don't drink at all because of our athletic lifestyle. And there's the legality bit.
Ira: Yeah, she stopped the occasional drinking at parties back in high school when our figure skating careers started to get more intense. She dropped any partying altogether, actually.
Noelle: It was a good decision.
9. What hobbies do you share?
Noelle: Well, figure skating is more than a "hobby" as it's our career and life, but...
Ira: We like to watch old movies together.
Noelle: OH, and read some of the same books, that's fun. We discuss them.
Ira: I also enjoy getting her into the nerdy shit I like.
Noelle: He does. He got me into Star Trek, for god's sake, through the newer movies. It was pretty sneaky.
10. Wow: anyways, have you two meet each other's family?
Ira: Of course- that'd be kind of concerning if we hadn't, seeing as I'm throwing Noelle several feet in length in the air on ice.
Noelle: His parents like me, I think. Now. Maybe.
Ira: They do like you!
Noelle: His mom did- his dad was all funny about it.
Ira: My dad is funny about everything.
Noelle: My parents are not extremely prevalent in my life. [sigh] But they've met him, of course, and know about our relationship. At least they both come to the competitions at this point. We're shooting for the Olympics, after all.
11. Moving on, are you two comfortable with PDA (Public Display of Affection)?
Noelle: Well, I don't mind a little, but honestly too much PDA annoys the both of us.
Ira: Truth.
12. Would you openly perform PDA?
Ira: I mean, I like to be close to her and to subtly have contact with her- but we're not getting it on in front of a stadium or anything.
Noelle: What are you talking about, Ira- we get it on in front of crowds all the time on the ice. Like our ice dancing routine to that tango? [wiggles eyebrows] You pickin' up what I'm layin' down? Hah?
Ira: [laughing] Jesus.
13. How would you describe your relationship?
Ira: Well, like I said, we're each other's best friends... kind of like that song, "Lucky"? Lucky to be in love with your best friend?
Noelle: [grinning and holding onto his arm] You're so cheesy, god. I think you should let me handle the rest of this interview.
Ira: You're so mean.
14. Do you two fight? If so, what about?
Ira: Stupid stuff, mostly- when you're working with someone as intimately as we are for your job, it can get a little hard.
15. Is money a huge issue with you two?
Noelle: I mean, I have a huge trust fund, and Ira works, but figure skating is our full time commitment. Since we're still at this point dependent on our parents, it's not something I think about a lot.
Ira: Well, I do think about money a good amount, but mostly I'm focused on the present so I try not to worry about it too much.
16. Was there ever a time you two thought your relationship would fall apart?
Ira: Hmm. Not yet. Which means shit will probably hit the fan.
Noelle: Ira, please don't jinx it.
17. Would you introduce each other to your friends or say they were "just a buddy of mine"?
Noelle: Well obviously back when we weren't dating. And I never thought we would date. Like, ever.
Ira: Okay, Noelle.
Noelle: But here we are!
18. Is there anyone who opposes your relationship?
Ira: My dad was kind of iffy about us at first- he was never supportive of my figure skating, and when he found out I was dating my partner he thought it would lessen any chance I had of getting success from the competitive field I was already in. But... we're working on him.
Anything else you want to add before we end this?
Noelle: Hmm. Keep rooting for us, USA? [laughs]
Ira: Seriously, thank you so much for all your support!
Noelle: Hopefully we won't let you down on the ice.
Ira: And hopefully I won't let you down off the ice.
Noelle: Aww, look at him. Being all cute. [smooshes his face]
